I love working with wood, too! Combining the dark richness of walnut with the yellow of yellowheart, the deep purple of purpleheart, the marbling of hard maple, or the soothing reddish-brown tones of cherry helps me create unique charcuterie boards, trivets, and coaster sets. Charcuterie Boards
Whether you're having a party, or just enjoying an intimate moment with your significant other, a hardwood charcuterie board from Gene Bowman Creations adds just the right touch to make your event special.
No two of our hand-crafted boards are the same, meaning that your board is something you can treasure for years to come. (And it doesn't hurt to show it off to your friends either!)
Each of our charcuterie boards is hand-made from the finest hardwoods such as walnut, cherry, maple, purpleheart, yellowheart, and African Padauk. Each is finished with a food-safe mineral oil and wax coating.
Trivets
Each of our Trivets is hand-made and hand-engraved. Our trivets will enhance your kitchen counter and for decorations around your house.
Coaster Sets
Each of our Coaster Sets is hand-made and come with a hardwood storage base. Our Coaster Sets are both functional and beautiful, and make great accent pieces for your coffee table or end table.

Gene’s boards are absolutely gorgeous - cool designs and color combinations. - but also durable and easy to care for. The coasters are amazing and the trivets both whimsical and pretty. Custom Projects
In addition to my boards, trivets, and coasters, I have begun to make special-order custom projects for my clients. Here are some of my most recent creations.
This buffet was made from walnut, maple, and African padauk, with no fasteners.
This console was made from five plys of poplar, again with no fasteners. The console features beveled top and sides, and a custom mixed stain color. It measures 60" long, 16" wide, 31" high, and 4" thick. Notice the beautiful grain swirl on the top.
This solid walnut desk was made by gluing up three walnut boards for the top, and a custom-shaped leg support. It top measures 72" long, 32" deep, and 1 5/8" thick. The legs were metal and were purchased from a vendor, but they were then painted black. No stains nor fasteners were used on this project.
